The model hangs at your workstation.

Until recently a laminated pdf hung at the saw station, half readable after a few weeks of dust and fingerprints. With Field-Viewer there is a screen there instead, with the 3D model on it, in the view that belongs to that station. Switch the device on and you are straight into the right view: no file to look up, no separate Vertex licence, no phone call to the drawing office for a dimension that was just not on the sheet.

A paperless workshop: the pdf leaves the workbench

Today a pdf hangs at the workbench. After a week it curls up, after a month half the text has faded under grease and wood dust. If a dimension is missing, you put the work down and go looking for someone who can handle the CAD package.

Field-Viewer hangs a screen there instead, with the model on it rather than a flat drawing. You tap the part you are working on, and the right dimensions and connections are there with it. If something changes during production, you see it yourself, without a new pdf having to be printed and pinned up first.

Every workstation its own view

Not every workstation needs the same drawings. At the saw station you count profiles and cutting lists, at the assembly table you build parts into a panel. Field-Viewer remembers per station which layer, which view and which dimensions matter there.

Switch the device on, and that setting is there straight away. No operator having to work through a long file list, and no risk of the wrong drawing staying open for the next shift.

What is ready at start-up

Three workstations in the same production hall, three fixed views. You set nothing, you just switch on.

Saw station

You see the cutting list and the profiles in the order they get sawn, with the dimension of each part beside it. No wall panel, no finishing layer getting in the way of the cutting list.

Assembly table

Here the panel under construction is on screen: rails, insulation and penetrations, in assembly order. Tap a rail, and the drawing of that detail sits next to it.

Finishing and inspection

For the final check you switch to the finishing layers: cladding and connections that have to stay visible. What is approved, you tick off yourself on the screen.

From drawing office to saw station

You publish from Vertex BD the way you already do, and the rest follows by itself all the way to the workstation. Working in Revit, ArchiCAD or with an IFC export? You put those next to the model the same way.

The draughtsman publishes

You publish the project from Vertex BD the way you already do. No separate export, no second way of working to learn.

The hall sees the new version

As soon as the publication is ready, the new version is on every screen in the hall. Nobody fetches a file or prints a new pdf.

Whoever needs a dimension takes it

If a dimension is missing at the workstation, you take it from the model yourself, without ringing the draughtsman. No waiting until someone at the office has time.
